In the role of Senior Sales Manager, you will be part of our Global Sales Organization, with a focus on Europe.
As a Senior Sales Manager you have the responsibility to execute sales activities in alignment with sales, product and business strategies, in collaboration with technical sales and hand over to project delivery.
You will be responsible for securing dialogue and meeting our customers and other stakeholders
regularly, maintaining customer relationships, and ensuring we maximize customer satisfaction for external and internal customers. The position reports to the Sales Director Europe.
Together with our global sales network and in direct contact with our customers, the right candidate will have the opportunity to work in an exciting, challenging and international environment.
Responsibilities
- Manage dedicated vessel, or product segment, regions and customers.
- Build and develop new markets and relationships in key areas/segments.
- Expand, maintain and strengthen current relationships in key areas/segments.
- Develop own sales lead from prospect to contract for all categories of projects, (depending on product area) and support regions in developing sales lead for Standard/Customized solutions.
- Manage quotations technically and commercially according to the Sales processes and manage the bid process as a sales manager and bid manager by involvement from other functions.
- Deliver target revenue & margins through optimized solutions in alignment with agreed P/L targets.
- Manage sales pipeline and order intake status to ensure all delivery times, cost and risks are understood and being addressed and managed.
- Handle pre-contract & contract handover processes.
- Collect and share customer specific requirements with relevant functions in organization, typically the product department.
- Be the link between the yard region and the owner region where necessary, to optimize solutions and execute case specific sales strategy.
- Enhance sales and marketing documentation together with related internal stakeholders such as product management and regional sales.
- Work closely with the regional sales teams.
- Support training and development of local / regional sales personnel.
- Extensive travelling to meet customers is expected.
Qualifications And Experience
- Extensive experience in building, developing and maintaining customer relationships on a personal level
- Relevant administrative or technical education. Work experience can compensate for a formal degree.
- Good system knowledge in ERP, standard Microsoft suites and other relevant manufacturing systems supporting sales. PLM (Teamcenter), or SLM systems is an advantage.
- Write and speak English fluently.
- Sales processes, Product or Maritime experience is considered an advantage.
This employment may require security clearance by the Norwegian National Security Authority, clearance through Civil Aviation Authority or a background check.
