Field Service Engineer
As a Field Service Engineer at Neuver Maritime LLC., you will be a crucial part of our Global Operation and Aftermarket team, delivering exceptional service to our customers. You will independently carry out on-site commissioning, repairs, and overhauls on our steering gears, rudders, and control systems.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine on-site overhauls, repairs, services, commissioning, and troubleshooting on Neuver Maritime steering gears, rudders, and control systems. This includes diagnosing issues, replacing parts, and ensuring systems are fully operational.
- Conduct inspections to ensure conformance to specifications, documenting findings, and updating all necessary technical documentation to reflect the current state of the equipment.
- Collaborate with team members and coordinate with internal and external resources to support product maintenance and recovery actions in accordance with customer contracted requirements.
- Carry out sea trials to test and validate the performance of equipment, ensuring all systems function correctly under operational conditions.
- Provide detailed feedback to the product teams based on field experiences to help improve product design and functionality.
- Perform on-the-job training for colleagues and defined service partners, sharing knowledge and best practices to enhance overall team capability.
- Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with applicable legal and company procedures, including strict adherence to Health, Safety and Environment policies to maintain a safe working environment and a sustainable operation.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Relevant qualification in mechanical engineering and/or automation discipline.
- Previous experience in a field service, customer-facing role.
- Strong understanding and knowledge of marine products, systems, and applications.
- Proficient written and oral skills in English.
- Ability to travel on a regular basis at short notice.
